Game of the Week: New Orleans Reapers at Windsor Gamblers

They are 4th in the league average yards per rush. They are 3rd in the league rushing touchdowns with 12. They are 3rd in the league rushing yards per game. They average 125.7!

Giving up only 88 yards per game. They are 4th in the league pass average yards per rush. There will be some wild plays in this game.

Darren Francis : Windsor Gamblers
Head coach Robert Neuman does a great job getting them prepared every week. This week will be no different. He is running an explosive defense.

No Pass Zone in Windsor.

Gamblers pass defense this year has been terrific this season, giving up only 2220 in 13 games. With this performance they have struck fear into QBs around the league..

Big boys shows the way in Houston.

The offensive line from RoughRiders are completely crushing it this year. They’ve given up only 37 sacks in 13 games while collecting 474 pancakes.

Greer delighted after Reapers victory.

Ronald Greer was pretty blunt in his postgame interview after the Reapers's win. Ronald Greer - DT known for brutal honesty, said after New Orleans beat Nova Scotia that the Vikings's did not seem prepared at all, and that he was frankly embarrased on their behalf. Them be fighting words to many a Vikings fan, let alone the players. It will be interesting to see if anyone lashes back, or if calmer heads prevail.

Moore and Nox Mock Draft

Pick 1: Toronto North
Larry Moore: Bruce Shelton - CB
This guy understands what it means to be a pro. 'Team player', this is the correct term for him. He makes everyone around him better. Sportsmanship, love of the sport and respect, is what you get with him. Fast enough or man coverage. And enough speed to close fast when blitzing. They would be crazy not to take him here. A great fit, both in terms of what they need and the quality of player they get. This will put a smile on many faces.

Jim Nox: Albert Gardiner - CB
This guy understands what it means to be a pro. Has the speed to stay close to his man. While not elite, he has enough speed that you can do a lot of different things with him. It is not often that the talent available fits perfectly with what you need. When it does, it makes for a win-win situation. This young man is going to be put in a position to succeed.

Pick 2: Windsor Gamblers
Larry Moore: John Thompson - C
This kid breeds synergy, teams play better when he is on the field. His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Known for helping out teammates, if they hit a rough patch, whether it is on the field or in their personal lives. Very coachable. That is an important trait for a guy you want to draft this early. A player that fits their needs. The promise of a future star. This will be great for the franchise.

Jim Nox: Bruce Shelton - CB
The guy has his head on straight. I want this kid on my team. He understands his role on the field, and how it fits in with what everyone else is doing. This is the kind of kid you want to promote the game. Well behaved, loves the game, and respectful. Coaches are always looking to add more speed to the defensive backfield. This guy has enough to make an impact. He fills a hole at the position. Blue-chip player. Will fit right in and start right away. Love it.

Pick 3: Houston RoughRiders
Larry Moore: Julian Goodman - C
Fans might not be on board with what can be framed as a need pick. But trust me once they see this kid play, they will be more than happy.

Jim Nox: Leonard Box - WR
Pretty good straight line speed. Can run the deeper routes in the pros. Makes nice jumpcuts after the catch. Elusive enough to be dangerous on short and intermediate routes. Very coachable. That is an important trait for a guy you want to draft this early. Some might say this is a 'need' pick, but we must remember, this is a really good player as well. He will contribute early and often. No losers here.

Pick 4: Seattle Totems
Larry Moore: Blake Breeden - LB
Finishes tackles well. Sufficiently strong that bull rushing opponents is not off the table. Gives him more options on the field. Nice speed for a Defensive End. Enough to keep contain and get sacks. Take the blue-chip player. Do not worry about sexier picks. He fits what you need and the quality is there.

Jim Nox: Pierre Henderson - CB
Fast enough or man coverage. And enough speed to close fast when blitzing. Fans, coaches, and teammates alike will be ecstatic to get him on the team. He fits what they need, he is such a great talent. Everything lines up.

Pick 5: Nova Scotia Vikings
Larry Moore: Leonard Box - WR

Jim Nox: Ronnie Burris - WR
His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. The guy has gets along with everyone. Can change direction fluidly. He will get a great chance to earn the starting job. He fits what they are looking for. He is a solid player. Cannot go wrong here.

Pick 6: Memphis Pharaohs
Larry Moore: Frank Washington - DE
This guy understands what it means to be a pro. Sportsmanship, love of the sport and respect, is what you get with him. Liked by coaches and teammates. Scouts all say his speed is not a problem, he plays way faster than his forty time. A good tackler. Wonderful situation for them to be able to pick the best player available here.

Jim Nox: Frank Washington - DE
The guy has his head on straight. His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Known for being a bit of a joker in the locker room. but in the good way, everyone smiles when asked about him. Offenses will need to keep tabs on him. He will close down fairly quickly if left unblocked. Makes good tackles. They get undisputed quality with this pick. It might not fill a need, but they should not care about that here. Get the future star, worry about needs later.

Pick 7: New Orleans Reapers
Larry Moore: Ronnie Burris - WR
His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Known for helping out teammates, if they hit a rough patch, whether it is on the field or in their personal lives. Has the balance and shiftiness to work well on short and intermediate routes from the slot. Nothing to think about here. Pick up the kid, bring him into the building, put him om the field.

Jim Nox: Michael Miller - FS
Fast enough to play man coverage. Can go toe to toe with most receivers. They need him now. Well yesterday actually. They will love him tomorrow. They will revere him by the end of his career.

Pick 8: BCFC Bears
Larry Moore: Rick Turner - WR
Sportsmanship, love of the sport and respect, is what you get with him. Fine catching ability, often comes down with the ball even when pressured. Educated well. Shows good understanding of the game. Once this kid gets in the building, they will be set at this position for years.

Jim Nox: John Thompson - C
He plays well with others. He understands there is a reason for each assignment on every play. His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. The guy has gets along with everyone. He is smart, and plays with good instincts. Might not be what fans want, but there is a reason people are getting paid to make these decisions. This is a rock solid pick, and he fits what they are looking for. Fans will come around quickly once they see him play.

Pick 9: Toronto North
Larry Moore: Pierre Henderson - CB
Good closing speed. Can run with most players. Makes him very versatile. It is all about fit here. Is there a guy at a position of need, worthy of a pick this high? The answer, obviously, is 'heck yeah'.

Jim Nox: Blake Breeden - LB
He is a well developed tackler, this is something teams look for. It saves a lot of time when the fundamentals are good. His strength is a good platform for him, surely a reason teams like him this high. People watching his tape often do not notice his speed. It is not something that jumps out at you, but he is pretty fast. Nothing to think about here. Pick up the kid, bring him into the building, put him om the field.

Pick 10: Windsor Gamblers
Larry Moore: Albert Gardiner - CB
This kid puts in the work. Nice speed. Will allow him to do a lot of things. Do not be afraid to draft a position of need here. This kid is well worthy of a pick this early. Perfect situation for him, and great fit for the team.

Jim Nox: Julian Goodman - C
