Moore and Nox Mock Draft

Pick 1: Seattle Totems
Larry Moore: Joseph Swafford - DT
While not the strongest kid we have seen, his strength is an asset. It gives him the platform to be a great player. He can deliver pressure up the middle with his speed. But will struggle to chase down faster Quarterbacks outside the pocket. He addresses a need for them.

Jim Nox: Joseph Swafford - DT
Nice strength for his age. Will definitely help him in the pros. This young man is explosive enough to pressure Quarterbacks up the middle. He has above average closing speed. With this kid, this is a need pick they will not regret.

Pick 2: Houston RoughRiders
Larry Moore: Glen Sides - C
This guy is built like a tank. He can hold his own in the passing game. Will improve once he finetunes his technique, but he is already pretty good. With this kid, this is a need pick they will not regret.

Jim Nox: Glen Sides - C
This is a young man who will bench press a Defensive Tackle, and not a small one! His pass blocking skills is something teams like about him. They need him now. Well yesterday actually. They will love him tomorrow. They will revere him by the end of his career.

Pick 3: Windsor Gamblers
Larry Moore: Timothy Parrott - T
He has sufficient strength to have a chance against grown men on the defensive line. His college teammates all point to how smart he is. Solid talent that fits their needs. Really that is all there is to it. Perfect situation. Take the money and run.

Jim Nox: David Weaver - LB
He is fundamentally a good kid. You rarely see him commit stupid penalties. Known among his teammates as a bit of a goofball, but never in a bad way. The kind that keeps spirits high even when a season goes south. This young man can hold his own in the weight room. And he is strong enough to hold his own on the field as well. Offenses will need to keep tabs on him. He will close down fairly quickly if left unblocked. Fast learner. Do not fret. You need him, fans love him. Surefire pick.

Pick 4: Nova Scotia Vikings
Larry Moore: Michael Mcvay - LB
He has a well developed tackling technique. Teams are looking for players who will not break contain. This young man is strong enough to stay on his feet against grown men on the offensive line. Knowledgeable of the game. Fits the bill, great quality pick, and fills a soft spot on the roster. They should have no qualms here, run to the podium and get your man.

Jim Nox: Randy Perrin - FS
Known among his teammates as a hard worker. Has the speed to stay close to his man. While not elite, he has enough speed that you can do a lot of different things with him. Reliable tackler. He is smart, and plays with good instincts. A player that fits their needs. The promise of a future star. This will be great for the franchise.

Pick 5: Toronto North
Larry Moore: David Weaver - LB
His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Known for helping out teammates, if they hit a rough patch, whether it is on the field or in their personal lives. Great strength and physique. People watching his tape often do not notice his speed. It is not something that jumps out at you, but he is pretty fast. Smart player. Good understanding of how plays develop, and where to be. They need him now. Well yesterday actually. They will love him tomorrow. They will revere him by the end of his career.

Jim Nox: Donald Gibson - DT
This is the kind of kid you want to promote the game. Well behaved, loves the game, and respectful. Here you have a guy, who really benefits the atmosphere in the building. Everyone wants to be around him. Strong enough to not get bullied by offensive linemen. Can collapse the pocket. Incredible first step. His speed will get him sacks. No doubt about that. A player that fits their needs. The promise of a future star. This will be great for the franchise.

Pick 6: New Orleans Reapers
Larry Moore: Donald Gibson - DT
He is driven by the love of the sport. Liked by coaches and teammates. Dominated using his strength in college. In the pros he will face fully grown men, but he should be up for the challenge. There is a quickness to his step. He closes down in a hurry. They would be crazy not to take him here. A great fit, both in terms of what they need and the quality of player they get. This will put a smile on many faces.

Jim Nox: Michael Mcvay - LB
He has been trained well, and it shows in the way he tackles. great technique. Has sufficient strength to play with the big boys in the pros. Pretty smart. He fills a need for them. Great pick here.

Pick 7: BCFC Bears
Larry Moore: Keith Lanning - WR
Knows what it takes to achieve success at any level. He is fundamentally a good kid. You rarely see him commit stupid penalties. Great balance and body control. They gotta be happy to get this guy. Such a talent and he fits their needs. I would imagine the war room is celebrating when they make this pick.

Jim Nox: Keith Lanning - WR
This guy understands what it means to be a pro. Sportsmanship, love of the sport and respect, is what you get with him. Has the elusiveness and the ability to change direction smoothly to punish any lapse in attention from the defense. It is not often that the talent available fits perfectly with what you need. When it does, it makes for a win-win situation. This young man is going to be put in a position to succeed.

Pick 8: Memphis Pharaohs
Larry Moore: Randy Perrin - FS
Raised to know the value of hard work. Coaches are always looking to add more speed to the defensive backfield. This guy has enough to make an impact. Tackles with good leverage. Rarely lets people go. He is alert and makes smart decisions to developments in the play. A player that fits their needs. The promise of a future star. This will be great for the franchise.

Jim Nox: Charles McCray - G
His college coaches talk highly of his work ethic. Well liked in the locker room. Run blocking is very different when facing college kids than the full-grown men in the pros. This kid has the skills to do the latter. You need him, just get him already.

Pick 9: Seattle Totems
Larry Moore: Rick Mcwhorter - G
'Team player', this is the correct term for him. He makes everyone around him better. He will occasionally throw of defenders to the ground when blocking them. Has nice technique when blocking on run plays. Keeps his leverage and finishes his blocks. Some might say this is a 'need' pick, but we must remember, this is a really good player as well. He will contribute early and often. No losers here.

Jim Nox: Rick Mcwhorter - G
Teammates love him. All he cares about is the team. He helps everyone succeed. This kid loves the weight room, and has developed nice strength for being this early in his career. Jim Nox: Timothy Parrott - T
