Jim Nox: Curtis Ruiz - G
Here you have a kid who puts in the work to succeed. He is fundamentally a good kid. You rarely see him commit stupid penalties. The guy has gets along with everyone. With the amount this youngster can already benchpres, he will only ever have to focus on improving technique. Scouts love his understanding for opening running lanes in the running game. He is a smart kid, and it shows when he plays. Once this kid gets in the building, they will be set at this position for years.

Pick 3: Windsor Gamblers

Has the speed to stay close to his man. While not elite, he has enough speed that you can do a lot of different things with him. You need him, just get him already.

Jim Nox: Kenneth Keefer - CB
Speedy enough to cover. Will need to cushion a bit on the faster receivers, but they will account for that in the play design. They will be running to the podium for this one.

Pick 4: New Orleans Reapers
Larry Moore: Fredric Fowler - DT
This kid is not afraid to work hard. Well liked in the locker room. He does not come off as an exclusive bull rusher, but he has enough muscle that powermoves are part of his repetoire. Tackles well. Reacts intelligently on the field. Some might say this is a 'need' pick, but we must remember, this is a really good player as well. He will contribute early and often. No losers here.

Jim Nox: Fredric Fowler - DT
Due to his work ethic, this kid is very coachable. Known for being a bit of a joker in the locker room. but in the good way, everyone smiles when asked about him. Powerful enough to shed blocks and free himself up to make plays in the running game. Solid technique on tackles. Makes smart decisions. Do not be afraid to draft a position of need here. This kid is well worthy of a pick this early. Perfect situation for him, and great fit for the team.

He will only get better as he refines his technique. Works well in the classroom. People always say you should not prioritize needs over quality. That is not an issue here, they get to have their cake and eat it too.

Jim Nox: Harry Smith - G
His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. This is a kid who really contributes to the team spirit and the social cohesiveness on the team. Run blocking is very different when facing college kids than the full-grown men in the pros.
