Moore and Nox Mock Draft

Pick 1: Nova Scotia Vikings
Larry Moore: John Pierre - SS
Regarding speed, as some have knocked him on that: while he is not elite in that regard, he has enough to do his job. I like the way he tackles. Wraps up the ball carrier and drags him down. No need to take chances. Plays with great insticts. He fills a hole at the position. Blue-chip player. Will fit right in and start right away. Love it.

Jim Nox: Ramiro Harrison - WR
He helps everyone get in the right position, making the team run as a well oiled machine. Consistently comes down with the ball. He plays faster than his forty might indicate. Will dodge tacklers after the catch. Works well from the slot.It is not often that the talent available fits perfectly with what you need. When it does, it makes for a win-win situation. This young man is going to be put in a position to succeed.

Pick 2: Houston RoughRiders
Larry Moore: Glenn Contreras - DE
Intangibles, leadership, what's not to love? Not the strongest, but strong enough. Can maintain his leverage and shed blocks. Will never become a speed rush specialist, but has sufficient speed to become a prototype Defensive End. Solid talent that fits their needs. Really that is all there is to it. Perfect situation. Take the money and run.

Jim Nox: Glenn Contreras - DE
Coaches love the leadership skills in this kid. He brings nice strength to the table. This is important because often his role will to keep contain. You cannot do that if you are on your back. More than enough speed for the position. This will become evident as he develops. People always say you should not prioritize needs over quality. That is not an issue here, they get to have their cake and eat it too.

Pick 3: Toronto North
Larry Moore: Ramiro Harrison - WR
If you ask around, everyone will tell you, this kid is all about the team. Will occasionally impress you by coming down with throws others would not catch. Is too speedy for most safeties in man coverage and will blaze through zones, forcing the defense to be on their toes. Makes defenders miss. Maintains his balance after the catch. Will change direction to avoid tacklers. Fans, coaches, and teammates alike will be ecstatic to get him on the team. He fits what they need, he is such a great talent. Everything lines up.

Jim Nox: Alfred Mosher - DE
Here you have a kid who puts in the work to succeed. Here you have a guy, who really benefits the atmosphere in the building. Everyone wants to be around him. He has sufficient strength to not get bulllied on run plays. He has been trained well, and it shows in the way he tackles. great technique. He will get a great chance to earn the starting job. He fits what they are looking for. He is a solid player. Cannot go wrong here.

Pick 4: Seattle Totems
Larry Moore: Carlos Hoang - FS
This is a kid who really contributes to the team spirit and the social cohesiveness on the team. He has been trained well, and it shows in the way he tackles. great technique. Consistently makes good decisions on the field. Do not fret. You need him, fans love him. Surefire pick.

Jim Nox: Lauren Post - T
His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Execution in the running game is something coaches have noticed about him. He blocks pretty well. Protects the QB well on pass plays. You can never have enough good pass blockers. Reacts intelligently on the field. Are there other guys worth picking here? Sure, but none of them fit this well with what they need, and he is a solid talent.

Pick 5: New Orleans Reapers
Larry Moore: Alfred Mosher - DE
Due to his work ethic, this kid is very coachable. Liked by coaches and teammates. Would occasionally flatten offensive linemen in college. Even in the pros, opponents better not try to block him with a Tight End or Running Back. Coaches like how well he tackles. This guy is available. This guy fills a need. They have to take him. It makes so much sense.

Jim Nox: Walter Potter - CB
This guy understands what it means to be a pro. 'Team player', this is the correct term for him. He makes everyone around him better. His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Is fast enough to be asked to cover most receivers and deliver good results. Do not be afraid to draft a position of need here. This kid is well worthy of a pick this early. Perfect situation for him, and great fit for the team.

Pick 6: Windsor Gamblers
Larry Moore: Walter Potter - CB
Known among his teammates as a hard worker. He helps everyone get in the right position, making the team run as a well oiled machine. His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Rarely lets receivers get separation. Has nice speed. will be fun to watch. Do not fret. You need him, fans love him. Surefire pick.

Jim Nox: Herbert Pena - G
This kid is not afraid to work hard. Sportsmanship, love of the sport and respect, is what you get with him. Take the blue-chip player. Do not worry about sexier picks. He fits what you need and the quality is there.

Pick 7: Memphis Pharaohs
Larry Moore: Lauren Post - T
He is driven by the love of the sport. Execution in the running game is something coaches have noticed about him. He blocks pretty well. Protects the QB well on pass plays. You can never have enough good pass blockers. He is alert and reacts well on the field. This guy is available. This guy fills a need. They have to take him. It makes so much sense.

Jim Nox: Tim Raymond - WR
Due to his work ethic, this kid is very coachable. Respected for his good behavior on the field. More than enough speed to create separation. I am looking forward to watching him develop. They will be running to the podium for this one.

Pick 8: BCFC Bears
Larry Moore: Herbert Pena - G
His college coaches talk highly of his work ethic. This is the kind of kid you want to promote the game. Well behaved, loves the game, and respectful. Are there other guys worth picking here? Sure, but none of them fit this well with what they need, and he is a solid talent.

Jim Nox: Bill Stanley - G
He is driven by the love of the sport. This kid loves the weight room, and has developed nice strength for being this early in his career. A player that fits their needs. The promise of a future star. This will be great for the franchise.

Pick 9: Nova Scotia Vikings
Larry Moore: Tim Raymond - WR
This kid is not afraid to work hard. This is the kind of kid you want to promote the game. Well behaved, loves the game, and respectful. He plays faster than his forty might indicate. He fills a need for them. They will be happy to get him.

Jim Nox: John Pierre - SS
Coaches are not worried about his forty time. But he plays fast, and they will be smart with his coverage assignments. Tackles with nice fundamentals. People usually go down. A cerebral player. With this kid, this is a need pick they will not regret.

Pick 10: Houston RoughRiders
Larry Moore: Sean McCollum - C
He is fundamentally a good kid. You rarely see him commit stupid penalties. This is a guy who is already a pretty good blocker in the run game. Very coachable. The stars align for them to get him here. Just what they need. Blue-chip player with great upside. Hard to botch this pick.

Jim Nox: Sean McCollum - C
Respected for his good behavior on the field. Nice blocking skills on run plays. He will contribute to the running game. Nice instincts. Some might say this is a 'need' pick, but we must remember, this is a really good player as well. He will contribute early and often. No losers here.
