"The great thing about the game of football is, it's a team game," Wright said on a conference call. "I'm just going to be one piece of the puzzle."

Moore and Nox Mock Draft

Pick 1: Memphis Pharaohs
Larry Moore: Shawn Wright - QB
He is driven by the love of the sport. He understands defensive schemes. Will deliver the ball to the target with nice accuracy. Will not leave the ball floating in the air, can deliver it low and hard. It is not often that the talent available fits perfectly with what you need. When it does, it makes for a win-win situation. This young man is going to be put in a position to succeed.

Jim Nox: Shawn Wright - QB
This is the kind of kid you want to promote the game. Well behaved, loves the game, and respectful. He trusts what he sees, and what he sees is mostly right. He is accurate enough to place the ball where the receiver can make the play. Zips the ball around out there. Fans might not be on board with what can be framed as a need pick. But trust me once they see this kid play, they will be more than happy.

Pick 2: Toronto North
Larry Moore: Mathew Garza - FS
Fast enough or man coverage. And enough speed to close fast when blitzing. Finishes tackles. Quickly discerns the field, and where to go to to make a play. Do not fret. You need him, fans love him. Surefire pick.

Jim Nox: Mathew Garza - FS
Has the speed to stay close to his man. While not elite, he has enough speed that you can do a lot of different things with him. Pretty good tackling fundamentals. That is something coaches love. Shows keen understanding of the game. He can do what they want. He will deliver results early. He fits a need. End of story.

Pick 3: Windsor Gamblers
Larry Moore: Mary Usher - CB
They will be running to the podium for this one.

Jim Nox: Mary Usher - CB
This guy is available. This guy fills a need. They have to take him. It makes so much sense.

Pick 4: Houston RoughRiders
Larry Moore: John Hill - G
This kid puts in the work. He is fundamentally a good kid. You rarely see him commit stupid penalties. Liked by coaches and teammates. Execution in the running game is something coaches have noticed about him. He blocks pretty well. He can hold his own in the passing game. Will improve once he finetunes his technique, but he is already pretty good. He was one of the smarter kids in college. Some might say this is a 'need' pick, but we must remember, this is a really good player as well. He will contribute early and often. No losers here.

Jim Nox: John Hill - G
Due to his work ethic, this kid is very coachable. His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Liked by coaches and teammates. Has nice technique when blocking on run plays. Keeps his leverage and finishes his blocks. His pass blocking skills is something teams like about him. He is alert and reacts well on the field. They almost have to make this pick. You do not want to look back in five years and see this kid on another team knowing he could have been yours.

Pick 5: Nova Scotia Vikings
Larry Moore: Herbert Milton - LB
Would occasionally flatten offensive linemen in college. Even in the pros, opponents better not try to block him with a Tight End or Running Back. Great first step. Defensive Ends with this speed tend to go high. The obvious reason is that teams love to get this kind of immediate pressure off the edge. Fill the need with a quality player. Best case scenario here.

Jim Nox: Herbert Milton - LB
Not the strongest, but strong enough. Can maintain his leverage and shed blocks. A kid who is faster than most linebackers. Really a hybrid kind of guy. Coming of the edge with that speed will give blockers fits. When the available talent fits what you need, there is reason to celebrate. They are getting a great talent who will serve them for many years.

Pick 6: Seattle Totems
Larry Moore: Miguel Heard - SS
Known among his teammates as a hard worker. Known for helping out teammates, if they hit a rough patch, whether it is on the field or in their personal lives. All you need from him is to be fast enough to the line against the run and fast enough to get to the sideline from his deepzone against the pass. He fills a need for them. They will be happy to get him.

Jim Nox: Miguel Heard - SS
His college coaches talk highly of his work ethic. Liked by coaches and teammates. Fast enough for most coverage assignments. Has enough explosiveness to blitz or come down quickly on run plays. They will be happy to get him, they could use an upgrade at the position, and he certainly fits the bill. A franchise caliber player. Just what they have been looking for.

Pick 7: New Orleans Reapers
Larry Moore: Quentin Vaughan - LB
Every team values leadership, someone to lead by example, this is the guy. This kid breeds synergy, teams play better when he is on the field. His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Really strong for a Linebacker. This is something that teams love. Shows keen understanding of the game. He will get a great chance to earn the starting job. He fits what they are looking for. He is a solid player. Cannot go wrong here.

Jim Nox: Quentin Vaughan - LB
A leader on the field and in the locker room. In addition to his own role, this kid doubles as glue. He makes everyone on the field play as a team. He is fundamentally a good kid. You rarely see him commit stupid penalties. Love his strength. He can play everywhere on the line. It is no coincidence he has attracted a lot of attention. Fast learner. When the available talent fits what you need, there is reason to celebrate. They are getting a great talent who will serve them for many years.

Pick 8: BCFC Bears
Larry Moore: Donald Bullard - LB
The guy has gets along with everyone. Tackles with nice fundamentals. People usually go down. Nice speed for a Defensive End. Enough to keep contain and get sacks. Rock solid player is just what they need. A great fit here, both in terms of need and quality.

Jim Nox: Donald Bullard - LB
Well liked in the locker room. Wraps up well when tackling. More than enough speed for the position. This will become evident as he develops. He can do what they want. He will deliver results early. He fits a need. End of story.

Pick 9: Memphis Pharaohs
Larry Moore: John Cowell - C
Knows what it takes to achieve success at any level. Respected for his good behavior on the field. Quickly discerns the field, and where to go to to make a play. He fills a need for them. Great pick here.

Jim Nox: John Cowell - C
This kid puts in the work. His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Fast learner. He fills a need for them. Great pick here.

Pick 10: Toronto North
Larry Moore: Donte Lovell - T
His college coaches talk highly of his work ethic. Sportsmanship, love of the sport and respect, is what you get with him. Well liked in the locker room. He was one of the smarter kids in college. They almost have to make this pick. You do not want to look back in five years and see this kid on another team knowing he could have been yours.

Jim Nox: William Britt - DE
Need a leader? He is your guy. Here you have a kid who puts in the work to succeed. He plays well with others. He understands there is a reason for each assignment on every play. Fast enough to get around slower Offensive Tackles. Will not have a hard time digesting a pro playbook. Nothing to think about here. Pick up the kid, bring him into the building, put him om the field.
