Moore and Nox Mock Draft

Pick 1: Toronto North
Larry Moore: Michael Pederson - G
Here is a kid who no one doubts will put in the work. Good pass blockers are hard to find right out of college, and this guy is pretty good. Well schooled in the game, and it shows on the field. He fills a hole at the position. Blue-chip player. Will fit right in and start right away. Love it.

Jim Nox: Michael Pederson - G
Raised to know the value of hard work. He shows good instincts of where to turn defenders when pass blocking. Works well in the classroom. Fill the need with a quality player. Best case scenario here.

Pick 2: Windsor Gamblers
Larry Moore: James Ochoa - T
The muscles on this kid should allow him to hold his own against pro competition. With this kid, this is a need pick they will not regret.

Jim Nox: James Ochoa - T
He will occasionally throw of defenders to the ground when blocking them. You need him, just get him already.

Pick 3: Seattle Totems
Larry Moore: Eric Thomas - G
Coaches and scouts love his strength. You cannot coach strength. You either have it or not, and this guy has it! Educated well. Shows good understanding of the game. Take the blue-chip player. Do not worry about sexier picks. He fits what you need and the quality is there.

Jim Nox: Dwayne Thompson - T
Every team values leadership, someone to lead by example, this is the guy. I want this kid on my team. He understands his role on the field, and how it fits in with what everyone else is doing. He comes of the line with power and leverage on run plays. This is something that scouts notice. A really smart kid. He can do what they want. He will deliver results early. He fits a need. End of story.

Pick 4: Houston RoughRiders
Larry Moore: Ted Hutchins - WR
His balance when catching the ball is good. Nice speed. Will keep defenses honest. When the available talent fits what you need, there is reason to celebrate. They are getting a great talent who will serve them for many years.

Jim Nox: Ted Hutchins - WR
Rarely drops the ball. Not a speedster per se, but faster than he is given credit for. They will be running to the podium for this one.

Pick 5: Nova Scotia Vikings
Larry Moore: Dwayne Thompson - T
This is a player who takes the lead. He plays well with others. He understands there is a reason for each assignment on every play. He comes of the line with power and leverage on run plays. This is something that scouts notice. Pretty clever. Some might say this is a 'need' pick, but we must remember, this is a really good player as well. He will contribute early and often. No losers here.

Jim Nox: Samuel Conley - T
Has nice technique when blocking on run plays. Keeps his leverage and finishes his blocks. They will be running to the podium for this one.

Pick 6: New Orleans Reapers
Larry Moore: Ellsworth Sharpe - DE
Wraps up well on tackles. They will be happy to get him, they could use an upgrade at the position, and he certainly fits the bill. A franchise caliber player. Just what they have been looking for.

Jim Nox: Edward Finch - CB
Wraps up well on tackles. They will be running to the podium for this one.

Pick 7: BCFC Bears
Larry Moore: Charles Duarte - WR
Superb ability to catch the ball. You do not need to tell him things twice. Very quick learner. They need him now. Well yesterday actually. They will love him tomorrow. They will revere him by the end of his career.

Jim Nox: Robert Graham - LB
Teammates gravitate toward him, they follow his lead. Coaches love that about him. Pretty good tackling fundamentals. That is something coaches love. More than enough speed for the position. This will become evident as he develops. Some might say this is a 'need' pick, but we must remember, this is a really good player as well. He will contribute early and often. No losers here.

Pick 8: Memphis Pharaohs
Larry Moore: Samuel Conley - T
Has nice technique when blocking on run plays. Keeps his leverage and finishes his blocks. They gotta be happy to get this guy. Such a talent and he fits their needs. I would imagine the war room is celebrating when they make this pick.

Jim Nox: Mikel Walker - T
His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Known for being a bit of a joker in the locker room. but in the good way, everyone smiles when asked about him. It is not often that the talent available fits perfectly with what you need. When it does, it makes for a win-win situation. This young man is going to be put in a position to succeed.

Pick 9: Toronto North
Larry Moore: Melvin Haney - TE
This kid is not afraid to work hard. This is a kid who really contributes to the team spirit and the social cohesiveness on the team. Superb hands for a Tight End. A cerebral player. The stars align for them to get him here. Just what they need. Blue-chip player with great upside. Hard to botch this pick.

Jim Nox: Ellsworth Sharpe - DE
It is clear from his tape, that he wraps up well on tackles. They need playmakers at this position. This is what they are getting here. Solid pick.

Pick 10: Windsor Gamblers
Larry Moore: George Hernandez - DT
Nice closing speed once he gets penetration. Forces QBs from the pocket. Take the blue-chip player. Do not worry about sexier picks. He fits what you need and the quality is there.

Jim Nox: George Hernandez - DT
Is sufficiently fast to stay on the field against the pass. That is important if you are going to draft a guy this early. He will get a great chance to earn the starting job. He fits what they are looking for. He is a solid player. Cannot go wrong here.
