Game of the Week: Windsor Gamblers at New Orleans Reapers

Our Expert Predictions:

Jeremy Piper : New Orleans Reapers
I really think their defense will make the difference. They are 4th in sacks with 22. They are 1st in points allowed, averaging only 17.9. They are 1st in pass defense. They only give up 192.8 per game. They are 4th in interceptions with 13. They are 1st in the league pass average yards per rush. They are 3rd in forced fumbles. Really this could go either way, but you will never get me to admit it.

Mary Moore : New Orleans Reapers
For this game, I feel certain that Reapers have got to love fielding James Chun - DE on their defense. This man will be critical this week, and will give the offense plenty of trouble. The way they win this game will tell a lot about what they are as a team.

Jim Nox : New Orleans Reapers
Head coach John Painter puts them over the top in this game. He is a great offensive mind. He is innovative with his defense. This game will be so very entertaining.

Darren Francis : Windsor Gamblers
They will rack up a lot of points.

Willis unhappy after the Bears close loss.

Timothy Willis was not happy in an interview after the Bears lost to the Totems. 'Surely, we have to take responsibility, but they were playing dirty, and it is a testament to their character' said the Bears Timothy Willis - WR. He continued: 'The Totems' players will likely take offense to this, but I do not care. It is what it is, they did not deserve to win'.'

Toronto North surprise everyone!

The Toronto North have managed an unlikely win against Nova Scotia Vikings.
The Vikings appeared dejected towards the end of the game, while the North kept their cool and drove the victory home. Meanwhile, the North fans were celebrating in the street, having had their hopes for the future bolstered at least momentarily.

North' Hector Frye has an opinion on who is the best RB

RB Hector Frye sparked up a friendly rivalry with Alton Vidal in an interview with local news. Hector Frye brings up Alton Vidal every chance he gets, it seems. 'Is he faster than me? nah. Look at the tape, once the pads come on he slows down. Sure, he is good and he may even be as good as me some day.' The North RB said. Certainly such words will set the internet forums on fire, and it will be interesting to see if Alton Vidal takes the bait and responds.

Game of the Week: New Orleans Reapers at Nova Scotia Vikings

One of the most underestimated defenses. They are 5th in sacks with 9. They are 4th in run defense. Giving up only 110 yards per game. They are 5th in the league in tackles for loss. They are 5th in forced fumbles. This may be one for the ages.

Mary Moore : New Orleans Reapers
In this game, you would be a fool not to think James Chun - DE is likely to ruin the day for the offense.

Jim Nox : Nova Scotia Vikings
Looking at how the teams match up, logic entails that Sean Shirley - LB can take over a game. The Vikings defense is great when he shows up.

Darren Francis : New Orleans Reapers
The leadership on the Reapers is great. You look at guys like Robert Thompson - DT and what he does for a team. Leadership like that helps you win games. They win big.

Big boys shows the way in Nova Scotia.

The guys in the offensive trenches from Vikings are smashing opponents this year. They’ve given up only 6 sacks in 6 games while collecting 181 pancakes.

Morgan delighted after Totems victory.

Scott Morgan was pretty blunt in his postgame interview after the Totems's win. Scott Morgan - T known for brutal honesty, said after Seattle beat Nova Scotia that the Vikings's did not seem prepared at all, and that he was frankly embarrased on their behalf. Them be fighting words to many a Vikings fan, let alone the players. It will be interesting to see if anyone lashes back, or if calmer heads prevail.

Bratton in trouble again?

A person familiar with the Totems says that they are increasingly worries about the off field red flags of David Bratton - RB. With the off field issues of David Bratton - RB boiling up again one has to wonder how long of a leash he has with the Totems. Trouble in Memphis

An anonymous source in the Pharaohs' locker room claim Ronald Tarver - C is getting on the nerves of his team mates. One anonymous player on the team said: 'Apparently, he thinks we should be grateful to play with him, and he keeps getting in people's faces. yelling and such. It is tiresome to be honest'. Coaches came running onto the turf earlier this week in training when Arthur Williams - WR alledgedly shoved Ronald Tarver - C to the ground. This led Ronald Tarver - C to embark on an explicit-laden tirade. Eventually, Tarver had to be taken into the locker room by the coaches.

Close in trouble again?

Rumors on social media are swirling that Clayton Close - FB may be under investigation again. Clayton Close - FB is at it again, it seems. Coaching Carousel Predictions.

The offseason is upon us and that means teams are shaking up their coaching staffs. This means that we get to take our annual look at coordinators who could make the leap to become head coaches, and the teams who are likely to poach them.

The prime candidates identified by our experts are:
Galen Gabriel - Offensive Coordinator - BCFC Bears
John Donovan - Defensive Coordinator - New Orleans Reapers
Raymond Means - Defensive Coordinator - Windsor Gamblers
Eugene Ayala - Offensive Coordinator - Nova Scotia Vikings
Kenneth Maxwell - Offensive Coordinator - Toronto North
Richard Morrison - Offensive Coordinator - Memphis Pharaohs
David Rupert - Offensive Coordinator - New Orleans Reapers
Christopher Rivera - Defensive Coordinator - Toronto North

As always, we are prone to wild speculations, so we asked our in-house experts to do a little matchmaking between candidates and teams. Here is what they came up with:

Mary Moore:
Kenneth Maxwell leaves the North to become the head coach for the Houston RoughRiders.

Darren Francis:
I think the Pharaohs lose Richard Morrison and I see him heading to Houston RoughRiders.

Jim Nox:
The North cannot hold on to Kenneth Maxwell. I would like to see him coach the Houston RoughRiders.

Jeremy Piper:
Richard Morrison is certainly on the move. That means Pharaohs will need a new coordinator. As for where Morrison ends up? Well, I think Houston RoughRiders is a good bet.
