I love what they are doing in Toronto coaching-wise. Head coach Lawrence Schaefer is a major reason they will win this game. He is running a great offense. Defensively he makes great adjustments.

Jim Nox : Houston RoughRiders
With people like James Nagy - FB and Ralph Goodrich - WR who understand the value of team play it is easy to see why the RoughRiders win this game. Easy prediction.

Darren Francis : Toronto North
In the context of this game, my prediction is that Rene Steiner - LB will be a key player to watch. Not only is he a beast on the North defense, he is a walking highlight reel. They greatly outscore them here.

Moore and Nox Mock Draft

Pick 1: Memphis Pharaohs
Larry Moore: Joe Spruill - T
This kid is not afraid to work hard. This is a kid who really contributes to the team spirit and the social cohesiveness on the team. Do not underestimate the strength this kid brings to the table. Driving up his value is his ability to block on run plays. Teams need kids who can hold their own against fully grown men. His pass blocking skills are definitely adding to his value. He will need to hold his own against fully grown men, and teams believe he can do that. With this kid, this is a need pick they will not regret.

Jim Nox: Joe Spruill - T
Here you have a kid who puts in the work to succeed. He takes care of his teammates. Most everyone who ever played with him, counts him as their friend. The muscles on this kid should allow him to hold his own against pro competition. This kid is already a pretty good blocker in the running game. He will only get better as he refines his technique. Displays nice technique when blocking on pass plays. Keeps his balance and buys time for the quarterback. Some might say this is a 'need' pick, but we must remember, this is a really good player as well. He will contribute early and often. No losers here.

Pick 2: Seattle Totems
Larry Moore: John Do - DT
'Team player', this is the correct term for him. He makes everyone around him better. Known among his teammates as a bit of a goofball, but never in a bad way. The kind that keeps spirits high even when a season goes south. He brings decent strength to the position. Can collapse the pocket against weaker offensive linemen. Good jump off the line. Enough speed to be unpredictable in his passrushing moves. Solid technique on tackles. They need him now. Well yesterday actually. They will love him tomorrow. They will revere him by the end of his career.

Jim Nox: John Do - DT
'Team player', this is the correct term for him. He makes everyone around him better. Known for helping out teammates, if they hit a rough patch, whether it is on the field or in their personal lives. Will shed blocks and occasionally bull rush smaller opponents. More than enough strength to anchor the defensive linePeople always rave about speed. This young man has more than enough speed for the position. You do not need to run tack to get sacks. Finishes tackles. Fits nicely with their needs. Fits nicely with the draft spot. Getting it right is important with these early picks. This guy is right.

Pick 3: Toronto North
Larry Moore: Jim Colley - CB
Need a leader? He is your guy. The guy has his head on straight. Has the speed to stay close to his man. While not elite, he has enough speed that you can do a lot of different things with him. They need playmakers at this position. This is what they are getting here. Solid pick.

Jim Nox: Jim Colley - CB
Need a leader? He is your guy. This guy understands what it means to be a pro. He has more than enough speed to keep up with most receivers. They almost have to make this pick. You do not want to look back in five years and see this kid on another team knowing he could have been yours.

Pick 4: Nova Scotia Vikings
Larry Moore: Gino Casillas - DT
He does not come off as an exclusive bull rusher, but he has enough muscle that powermoves are part of his repetoire. Coaches like how well he tackles. Takes in instructions well. He will get a great chance to earn the starting job. He fits what they are looking for. He is a solid player. Cannot go wrong here.

Jim Nox: Gino Casillas - DT
His strength gives him a chance against the big boys in the pros. This is a kid who tackles well. He is smart, and plays with good instincts. Some might say this is a 'need' pick, but we must remember, this is a really good player as well. He will contribute early and often. No losers here.

Pick 5: New Orleans Reapers
Larry Moore: William James - G
Need a leader? He is your guy. Sportsmanship, love of the sport and respect, is what you get with him. He has sufficient strength to have a chance against grown men on the defensive line. He pass blocks really well. Once this kid gets in the building, they will be set at this position for years.

Jim Nox: Patrick Li - LB
Liked by coaches and teammates. Strong enough to flatten smaller blockers. And strong enough to not be flattened by the bigger ones. Will not have to come off the field for in obvious passing situations. Has enough quickness to pressure Quarterbacks off the edge. Very coachable. That is an important trait for a guy you want to draft this early. People always say you should not prioritize needs over quality. That is not an issue here, they get to have their cake and eat it too.

Pick 6: Windsor Gamblers
Larry Moore: Patrick Li - LB
He takes care of his teammates. Most everyone who ever played with him, counts him as their friend. The muscles on this kid allows him to shed blocks and keep contain. Will not have to come off the field for in obvious passing situations. Has enough quickness to pressure Quarterbacks off the edge. Educated well. Shows good understanding of the game. They need playmakers at this position. This is what they are getting here. Solid pick.

Jim Nox: Curtis Foster - CB
Every team values leadership, someone to lead by example, this is the guy. I want this kid on my team. He understands his role on the field, and how it fits in with what everyone else is doing. Rarely lets receivers get separation. Has nice speed. will be fun to watch. Blue-chip player. Exactly what they look for. Add a young talent to a roster thin at the position, a great fit.

Pick 7: Houston RoughRiders
Larry Moore: Carlos St. Clair - SS
This is the kind of kid you want to promote the game. Well behaved, loves the game, and respectful. Great speed for a Strong Safety. You can ask him to go in man coverage, and not be worried. Blue-chip player. Exactly what they look for. Add a young talent to a roster thin at the position, a great fit.

Jim Nox: William James - G
His leadership is through the roof. He is on the frontline, always. Sportsmanship, love of the sport and respect, is what you get with him. Strong enough to play with the pros. He has shown in college he can hold his own in pass blocking. He keeps good leverage and will only get better once the coaches get their hands on him. Might not be what fans want, but there is a reason people are getting paid to make these decisions. This is a rock solid pick, and he fits what they are looking for. Fans will come around quickly once they see him play.

Pick 8: BCFC Bears
Larry Moore: Robert Welch - G
They gotta be happy to get this guy. Such a talent and he fits their needs. I would imagine the war room is celebrating when they make this pick.

Jim Nox: Robert Welch - G
Fans, coaches, and teammates alike will be ecstatic to get him on the team. He fits what they need, he is such a great talent. Everything lines up.

Pick 9: Memphis Pharaohs
Larry Moore: Curtis Foster - CB
Not afraid to lead. In addition to his own role, this kid doubles as glue. He makes everyone on the field play as a team. Coaches are always looking to add more speed to the defensive backfield. This guy has enough to make an impact. Fans might not be on board with what can be framed as a need pick. But trust me once they see this kid play, they will be more than happy.

Jim Nox: Carlos St. Clair - SS
His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Play him at safety. Play him outside. Play him back. Play him in the box. His speed allows you to do a lot of things with him. Take the blue-chip player. Do not worry about sexier picks. He fits what you need and the quality is there.

Pick 10: Seattle Totems
Larry Moore: Raymond Kruger - G
They need players at the position, and good ones at that. He fits the bill, he is worth the pick. End of story.

Jim Nox: Raymond Kruger - G
They need playmakers at this position. This is what they are getting here. Solid pick.
