Our Expert Predictions:

Jeremy Piper : BCFC Bears

Mary Moore : Windsor Gamblers
In the context of this game, you would be a fool not to think that Joseph Parker - DT has to potential to carry the Gamblers defense.

I am sure head coach Andrew Archibald has something up his sleeve for this game. He is doing some really smart things on offense. But it will be a close game.

Darren Francis : BCFC Bears

Steiner still having red flags

A person familiar with the North says that they are increasingly worries about the off field red flags of Rene Steiner - LB. Rene Steiner - LB is making it difficult for himself and the North. Steiner could be a productive player, but he must be able to stay out of trouble or teams will tire off him sooner rather than later.

Criticism of WR Stephen Shuman after Bears-Totems game!

Wilburn Cothran was furious with his team in an interview after the Totems lost. He called out the effort on both offense and defense. 'These guys, they do not seem hungry. Is Poulin really made of glass?

Reports out of New Orleans indicate that the injury history of Jimmy Poulin - DE is getting to be a worry for the coaching staff. The organisation needs everyone to contribute, and are doing their best to help get fack into shape, but the increasing worry is that maybe this is just the new normal when it comes to the DE

Chambliss unhappy after the Totems close loss.

For this match up, you would be a fool not to think George Barnes - DE is going to be a difference maker on the Pharaohs defense. A tough choice. I think it will be a close game.

The Pharaohs really gell on the field. They play as a unit and that gets them the win this week. You only need to look at guys like George Mclean - SS and Cordell Denning - QB to see the importance. Team players like that helps you win games. It may come down to the wire though.

Darren Francis : Memphis Pharaohs
Their win streak will not be broken in this game. I am looking forward to watching this showdown.

When you think of the players that will be on the field, it seems obvious that Bears got to love fielding Brian Thompson - CB on their defense. This man will be critical this week, and will give the offense plenty of trouble. This may be a pivotal game for their season.

If they do not win, I have to buy cake for the entire office. That is how sure I am.

Looking at how the teams match up, logic entails that the RoughRiders is going to rely on Marcelino Poirier - DE on their defense. Big names make big plays in big games, I cannot wait to watch this. A single digit win.

They are 1st in interceptions with 3. They are 2nd in the league pass average yards per rush. They are 2nd in forced fumbles. Really this could go either way, but you will never get me to admit it.

Scramble at Pharaohs' training.

It is no longer a secret. We all suspected that the Pharaohs locker room is fractioning. In particular two players have been on collision course according to an anonymous player on the team who said: 'I do not know what is up with Ronald Riggins and Christopher Leggett. They have been going at it for a while now. The rest of us are worried.'. Coaches came running onto the turf earlier this week in training when Christopher Leggett - G alledgedly shoved Ronald Riggins - RB to the ground. This led Ronald Riggins - RB to embark on an explicit-laden tirade. Eventually, Riggins had to be taken into the locker room by the coaches.

Darren Francis : Houston RoughRiders
They play great together. Having a guy like Dean Johnson - G on the field who understands what everyone needs to do and helping them play as a unit will help them a great deal in this game.

Game of the Week: Seattle Totems at Houston RoughRiders

Our Expert Predictions:

Jeremy Piper : Houston RoughRiders
For this game, you would be a fool not to think Scott Goulet - RB will shine for the RoughRiders offense. They rely on him, and he will deliver. Expect a great game.

Mary Moore : Houston RoughRiders
For this game, the scouts tell me that Marcelino Poirier - DE needs to show up, but if he does the RoughRiders defense is very stingy. The way they win this game will tell a lot about what they are as a team.

Jim Nox : Houston RoughRiders
The difference in this game will be their defense.

They greatly outscore them here.

Moore and Nox Mock Draft

Pick 1: Toronto North
Larry Moore: Hiram Vogel - QB
Plays with intelligence. Is accurate enough to make most throws. The ball leaves his hand with good speed. Are there other guys worth picking here? Sure, but none of them fit this well with what they need, and he is a solid talent.

Jim Nox: James Padgett - CB
The ultimate team player. Sportsmanship, love of the sport and respect, is what you get with him. Coaches like guys who tackle well. He will get a great chance to earn the starting job. He fits what they are looking for. He is a solid player. Cannot go wrong here.

Pick 2: Seattle Totems
Larry Moore: James Padgett - CB
Raised to know the value of teamwork. This is the kind of kid you want to promote the game. Well behaved, loves the game, and respectful. He has a well developed tackling technique. Coaches like that. Fits the bill, great quality pick, and fills a soft spot on the roster. They should have no qualms here, run to the podium and get your man.

Jim Nox: Richard Brookins - CB
Consistently makes good decisions on the field. Do not fret. You need him, fans love him. Surefire pick.

Pick 3: Windsor Gamblers
Larry Moore: Donald Hinkle - LB
You need to stay on him, or he will turn the edge on you. Teams want Defensive Ends that keep Offensive Tackles honest. Fits nicely with their needs. Fits nicely with the draft spot. Getting it right is important with these early picks. This guy is right.

Jim Nox: Donald Hinkle - LB
People watching his tape often do not notice his speed. It is not something that jumps out at you, but he is pretty fast. People always say you should not prioritize needs over quality. That is not an issue here, they get to have their cake and eat it too.

Pick 4: New Orleans Reapers
Larry Moore: Brooks Mack - T
Every team values leadership, someone to lead by example, this is the guy. Even if he is not the strongest, coaches like his strength. And he has enough of it. Execution in the running game is something coaches have noticed about him. He blocks pretty well. It is not often that the talent available fits perfectly with what you need. When it does, it makes for a win-win situation. This young man is going to be put in a position to succeed.

Jim Nox: Brooks Mack - T
This is a player who takes the lead. Good strength gives him a foundation to build on. Driving up his value is his ability to block on run plays. Teams need kids who can hold their own against fully grown men. Are there other guys worth picking here? Sure, but none of them fit this well with what they need, and he is a solid talent.

Pick 5: Nova Scotia Sharks
Larry Moore: Adam Frey - RB
This is the kind of kid you want to promote the game. Well behaved, loves the game, and respectful. Known among his teammates as a bit of a goofball, but never in a bad way. The kind that keeps spirits high even when a season goes south. He reads the field well. This is a guy who brings elite speed. Reacts intelligently on the field. Fits nicely with their needs. Fits nicely with the draft spot. Getting it right is important with these early picks. This guy is right.

Jim Nox: Adam Frey - RB
He is driven by the love of the sport. Here you have a guy, who really benefits the atmosphere in the building. Everyone wants to be around him. Can change direction fluidly. Crazy fast. Can be relied upon to understand his role on any given play. Do not be afraid to draft a position of need here. This kid is well worthy of a pick this early. Perfect situation for him, and great fit for the team.

Pick 6: Memphis Pharaohs
Larry Moore: Glenn Yang - DT
Here is a kid who no one doubts will put in the work. Do not be afraid to draft a position of need here. This kid is well worthy of a pick this early. Perfect situation for him, and great fit for the team.

Jim Nox: Otto Butler - C
The guy has his head on straight. Run blocking is very different when facing college kids than the full-grown men in the pros. This kid has the skills to do the latter. A really smart kid. They need players at the position, and good ones at that. He fits the bill, he is worth the pick. End of story.

Pick 7: BCFC Bears
Larry Moore: Fritz Norman - T
Displays nice technique when blocking on pass plays. Keeps his balance and buys time for the quarterback. Bright kid, reacts well on the field. They will be running to the podium for this one.

Jim Nox: Glenn Yang - DT
This kid puts in the work. It is all about fit here. Is there a guy at a position of need, worthy of a pick this high? The answer, obviously, is 'heck yeah'.

Pick 8: Houston RoughRiders
Larry Moore: Alton Vidal - RB
Nice elusiveness. Boy, is this kid fast. Coaches love backs who can catch as well as run. He brings a lot of different assets to the offense. Do not be afraid to draft a position of need here. This kid is well worthy of a pick this early. Perfect situation for him, and great fit for the team.

Jim Nox: Hiram Vogel - QB
Plays with intelligence. Makes nice throws. Nice arm, will be even better in a couple of seasons. They will be happy to get him, they could use an upgrade at the position, and he certainly fits the bill. A franchise caliber player. Just what they have been looking for.

Pick 9: Windsor Gamblers
Larry Moore: Oscar Sauer - G
He comes of the line with power and leverage on run plays. This is something that scouts notice. He is alert and reacts well on the field. Best player available here.

Jim Nox: John Wilson - DE
Is fast enough to get sacks. Is fast enough to contain outside runs. Those are the players you look for at Defensive End. Ohh are they going to be happy to get him. He is a great fit here.

Pick 10: Seattle Totems
Larry Moore: Richard Brookins - CB
Reacts with good instincts. They would be crazy not to take him here. A great fit, both in terms of what they need and the quality of player they get. This will put a smile on many faces.

Jim Nox: Chris Brewster - CB
Rock solid player is just what they need. A great fit here, both in terms of need and quality.
