Pharaohs victory feels good to Russell.

Paul Russell did not hold his tongue in a postgame interview. Paul Russell - WR known for brutal honesty, said after Memphis beat Windsor that the Gamblers's did not seem prepared at all, and that he was frankly embarrased on their behalf. Game of the Week: Toronto North at BCFC Bears

Our Expert Predictions:

Jeremy Piper : BCFC Bears
I find it hard to bet against coach Ellsworth Robinson. He always has them well prepared. He is running an explosive defense. But it will be much closer than many think..

Mary Moore : BCFC Bears
They play great together. Having a guy like Andrew Taylor - CB on the field who understands what everyone needs to do and helping them play as a unit will help them a great deal in this game.

Jim Nox : Toronto North
This is just what my gut tells me.

Darren Francis : Toronto North
I think their defense will carry them. They are 4th in sacks with 51. They are 4th in the league pass average yards per rush. Really this could go either way, but you will never get me to admit it.

Seattle Totems defense dominates!

The Totems' defense is beating the brakes off people this season. In 13 games they’ve given up only 3010 total yards and 130 points. David Croteau - LB is the leader of the defense with 108 tackles on the year. Could the D be back in Seattle?

Punches thrown in Windsor!

A person in the Gamblers' building claims James Smith - CB has been on collision course with many of the other Gamblers players recently. This is fractioning the locker room, and has unfuriated the front office. Things exploded into the open at a recent training. In particular, a shouting match that led to punches being thrown between James Smith - CB and Michael Espinosa - SS.

Week 14: WR Lawrence Baumgartner (NSS) wins Offensive Player of the Week

Lawrence Baumgartner of the Nova Scotia Sharks receives the offensive player of the week honors for his 7 rec, 153 yds, 2 TD effort. The former Round 1 selection is racking up the receiving yards, bringing his season total to 859 yards on the season.

Sharks - 45, Reapers - 6
RoughRiders - 45, North - 20

Game of the Week: Memphis Pharaohs at Seattle Totems

Our Expert Predictions:

Jeremy Piper : Seattle Totems
For this game, it seems obvious that Ronald Davis - DT has to potential to carry the Totems defense. This may be where we see their true colors.

Mary Moore : Memphis Pharaohs
There are so many factors to consider when making predictions. This one was easy though.

Jim Nox : Seattle Totems
Looking at the teams, I am certain that Alonso Churchill - CB is going to be a difference maker on the Totems defense. It may even be a blow out.

Darren Francis : Seattle Totems
Certainly, this defense will have a good game. They are 1st in points allowed, averaging only 9.4. They are 1st in pass defense. They only give up 154.4 per game. They are 3rd in run defense. Giving up only 72.3 yards per game. They are 1st in interceptions with 12. They are 5th in the league in tackles for loss. They are 1st in forced fumbles. They might even win with three touchdowns.

Who is the best CB? Sharks' George Razo or Sharks' Eugene Sanders?

When talking to reporters, at a galla event, CB George Razo made clear that he does not think Eugene Sanders is 'all that'. The Sharks CB said: 'Is he good? sure. Am I better? No question. I would wipe the floor with him any day'. The Sharks player remarks came in response to some online speculation about who was the better CB. 'I think I have proved what I am. I feel confident about where I am, but I think maybe Eugene Sanders has a little more he needs to prove, if you get me? At least if he want to be compared to me.', he said.

Mary Moore : Seattle Totems
I just have this gut feeling. There will be some wild plays in this game.

Jim Nox : Houston RoughRiders
Look at the team play on the RoughRiders. Look at guys like Dwain Reyes - C, Dennis Salas - QB and Jesse Gustafson - FS then you understand why they win this week. Easy prediction.

Darren Francis : Houston RoughRiders
For this game, it seems to me that Joseph Mclain - WR is a guy to watch on the RoughRiders offense, much to the surprise of no-one. This guy has been unstoppable so far this season. They will put up a lot of points.

Peck stating his case to history

The commisioner, in a recent interview, hinted that Kenneth Peck - WR is among the favorites in his generation for the future hall of fame. Clearly, after 11 seasons in the league, playing at his level, it is hard to dispute. Hall of fame or not, Peck is a legend, not only in Windsor, but nationally. The Gamblers have made no comment on the subject before, but seem fairly satisfied with the whole thing.

Who is the better QB? North' Monty Allison weighs in

QB Monty Allison had words of praise for himself in a recent interview. 'I am one of the best QBs in the game', he said. 'You cannot help but compare yourself to other players. Our Expert Predictions:

Jeremy Piper : Seattle Totems
I do not know why. I just have this hunch.

Mary Moore : Seattle Totems
Looking at the two rosters, I think that David Croteau - LB will wreck havoc for the Totems defense.

Jim Nox : Seattle Totems
This defense is likely to step up this week. They are 5th in sacks with 40. They are 1st in points allowed, averaging only 8.9. They are 1st in pass defense. They only give up 131.1 per game. They are 1st in run defense. Giving up only 72.2 yards per game. They are 1st in interceptions with 10. They are 3rd in the league in tackles for loss. They are 1st in forced fumbles.

Darren Francis : Seattle Totems
They will keep their winstreak going.

Robinson: The icon

News in Windsor is that the retirement of Zackary Robinson - QB is on everyones minds this season. Surely, losing a legend of Robinson's caliber is something the Gamblers are planning for. Still, it is hard to feel sorry for Windsor. After all they do get to have a legend on their team for now.

Michael Bordelon calls out Reapers DE Hitt after loss.

Michael Bordelon was furious with his team in an interview after the Reapers lost. He called out the effort on both offense and defense. 'These guys, they do not seem hungry. We have to get on the same page. Are we doing this or not?', he complained. 'We lost and somebody is to blame. If you look at the game, you will see some players just are not delivering.' said the Reapers DT. Asked to clarify, Bordelon suggested Donald Hitt - DE needs to perform better, but underscored that there was plenty of blame to go around. 'Guys need to listen, we need to get grinding, you cannot just show up and expect to play or expect to win', Bordelon concluded.

Week 11: QB Jerry Tate (MEM) wins Offensive Player of the Week

The Memphis Pharaohs' Jerry Tate threw 6 touchdowns, completing 20 of 33 passes for 323 yards in the Pharaohs victory over the Windsor Gamblers.

Jim Nox : Seattle Totems
This will be a very entertaining game.

Darren Francis : Seattle Totems
For this match up, it is likely that Joe Hornsby will be dominant here. The young DE is going to destroy the offense.

Abel Parker calls out Gamblers Head Coach Merchant after loss.

Abel Parker seemed almost depressed in an interview after the Gamblers lost. He indicated that a big factor in the loss was the Gamblers' coaching, that appeared one step behind at every turn. 'Sure, we lost, but we were playing well. I think this is a testament to our character and preparation' said the Gamblers CB. The Totems are a much better team than everyone thinks It may come down to the wire though.

Leadership. You cannot discount the difference it makes. I am thinking of a guy like Joe Hornsby - DE. He will lead the way and help them win.

Our Expert Predictions:

Jeremy Piper : Seattle Totems
Head coach Douglas Sharp runs a tight ship in Seattle. I feel certain he has prepared an excellent gameplan. He is one of the best defensive minds.

Mary Moore : Seattle Totems
This defense is likely to step up this week. They are 4th in sacks with 29. They are 1st in points allowed, averaging only 7. They are 1st in pass defense. They only give up 143.3 per game. Gary Summerlin lashes out in wake of loss.

He takes care of his teammates. Most everyone who ever played with him, counts him as their friend. His physical foundation given him an nice ceiling. Fits nicely with their needs. Fits nicely with the draft spot. Getting it right is important with these early picks. This guy is right.

Jim Nox: Harold Brock - LB
A sack master in college, and with this kind of quickness it is easy to see him continue that at the pro level. Can be relied upon to understand his role on any given play. People always say you should not prioritize needs over quality. That is not an issue here, they get to have their cake and eat it too.

Pick 2: Memphis Pharaohs
Larry Moore: Joseph Parker - DT
In addition to his own role, this kid doubles as glue. He makes everyone on the field play as a team. Known among his teammates as a bit of a goofball, but never in a bad way. The kind that keeps spirits high even when a season goes south. Will flatten smaller offensive linemen and go toe to toe with bigger ones. Coaches are not worried about his forty time. He plays fast and will chase down the QB reliably when he get penetration. He has been trained well, and it shows in the way he tackles. great technique. Fill the need with a quality player. Best case scenario here.

Jim Nox: Joseph Parker - DT
This kid breeds synergy, teams play better when he is on the field. Here you have a guy, who really benefits the atmosphere in the building. Everyone wants to be around him. Strong enough to not get bullied by offensive linemen. Can collapse the pocket. Has never been known for his speed. But he is pretty fast, and definitely fast enough to harass Quarterbacks up the middle. He has a well developed tackling technique. Coaches like that. Do not fret. You need him, fans love him. Surefire pick.

Pick 3: Toronto North
Larry Moore: Donald Vail - TE
The kind of leadership he shows makes coaches salivate. He will contend for any throw in his vicinity. Has really good speed. If you can put speed even at the Tight End position, you are putting yourself in a good position. Fans might not be on board with what can be framed as a need pick. But trust me once they see this kid play, they will be more than happy.

Jim Nox: Donald Vail - TE
His leadership is through the roof. He is on the frontline, always. Strong hands! He really is not given enough credit for his speed except among scouts. More people should listen to the scouts. Do not fret. You need him, fans love him. Surefire pick.

Pick 4: Nova Scotia Sharks
Larry Moore: Sol Davis - G
Respected for his good behavior on the field. The guy has gets along with everyone. Coaches and scouts love his strength. You cannot coach strength. You either have it or not, and this guy has it! Scouts highlight the intelligent decisions he makes on the field. They would be crazy not to take him here. A great fit, both in terms of what they need and the quality of player they get. This will put a smile on many faces.

Jim Nox: Sol Davis - G
Respected for his good behavior on the field. He takes care of his teammates. Most everyone who ever played with him, counts him as their friend. Coaches and scouts love his strength. You cannot coach strength. You either have it or not, and this guy has it! Pretty bright kid. They will be happy to get him, they could use an upgrade at the position, and he certainly fits the bill. A franchise caliber player. Just what they have been looking for.

Pick 5: Seattle Totems
Larry Moore: Harold Brock - LB
When he pins back his ears and goes for the passer he will demand some serious attention from the offensive line. If you look at his tape again, you can see he reacts quickly on the field. They would be crazy not to take him here. A great fit, both in terms of what they need and the quality of player they get. This will put a smile on many faces.

Jim Nox: Damian Devries - LB
Known for being a bit of a joker in the locker room. but in the good way, everyone smiles when asked about him. Strength is definitely one of his premier qualities. It will serve him well. A player that fits their needs. The promise of a future star. This will be great for the franchise.

Pick 6: Windsor Gamblers
Larry Moore: Marshall Slaughter - T
This kid is not afraid to work hard. I want this kid on my team. He understands his role on the field, and how it fits in with what everyone else is doing. With the amount this youngster can already benchpres, he will only ever have to focus on improving technique. Nice blocking skills on run plays. He will contribute to the running game. Fans might not be on board with what can be framed as a need pick. But trust me once they see this kid play, they will be more than happy.

Jim Nox: Marshall Slaughter - T
Due to his work ethic, this kid is very coachable. If you ask around, everyone will tell you, this kid is all about the team. Rarely do a player this young bench pres this much. This kind of physical foundation given him an incredible ceiling. He comes of the line with power and leverage on run plays. This is something that scouts notice. Once this kid gets in the building, they will be set at this position for years.

Pick 8: Houston RoughRiders

His college coaches talk highly of his work ethic. I want this kid on my team. He understands his role on the field, and how it fits in with what everyone else is doing. Coaches do not have to worry about making him throw any route. Will not leave the ball floating in the air, can deliver it low and hard. Do not be afraid to draft a position of need here. This kid is well worthy of a pick this early. Perfect situation for him, and great fit for the team.

Jim Nox: Jose Sandoval - DE
This guy understands what it means to be a pro. His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Known for being a bit of a joker in the locker room. but in the good way, everyone smiles when asked about him. Sufficiently strong that bull rushing opponents is not off the table. Gives him more options on the field. People watching his tape often do not notice his speed. It is not something that jumps out at you, but he is pretty fast. Nothing to think about here. Pick up the kid, bring him into the building, put him om the field.

Pick 9: New Orleans Reapers
Larry Moore: Randy Ham - WR
Fine catching ability, often comes down with the ball even when pressured. He fills a need for them. Great pick here.

Jim Nox: Alex Batts - LB
Well liked in the locker room. Would occasionally flatten offensive linemen in college. Even in the pros, opponents better not try to block him with a Tight End or Running Back. Blue-chip player. Exactly what they look for. Add a young talent to a roster thin at the position, a great fit.

Pick 10: Memphis Pharaohs
Larry Moore: Bruce Flores - DT
If you ask around, everyone will tell you, this kid is all about the team. People always rave about speed. This young man has more than enough speed for the position. You do not need to run tack to get sacks. He is alert and makes smart decisions to developments in the play. Fits nicely with their needs. Fits nicely with the draft spot. Getting it right is important with these early picks. This guy is right.

Jim Nox: Bruce Flores - DT
If you ask around, everyone will tell you, this kid is all about the team. Good jump off the line. Enough speed to be unpredictable in his passrushing moves. Bright kid, reacts well on the field.
