I do not think people realize how good this defense is. If they do not win, I have to buy cake for the entire office. That is how sure I am.

T Forrest Jorgenson (BCFC) goes #1 overall!

NEW YORK -- The BCFC Bears drafted Forrest Jorgenson #1 overall in the 1996 draft. The 6' 4" T fits the team's needs perfectly. Said Bears general manager: "It's up to us to develop him and get good players around him."

"The great thing about the game of football is, it's a team game," Jorgenson said on a conference call. "I'm just going to be one piece of the puzzle."

Moore and Nox Mock Draft

Pick 1: BCFC Bears
Larry Moore: Forrest Jorgenson - T
Well liked in the locker room. With the amount this youngster can already benchpres, he will only ever have to focus on improving technique. Pretty bright kid. He will get a great chance to earn the starting job. He fits what they are looking for. He is a solid player. Cannot go wrong here.

Jim Nox: Monty Allison - QB
He understands playing offense at the pro level. Good enough accuracy to play with the pros, and definitely the foundation to be great. Delivers with zip. Once this kid gets in the building, they will be set at this position for years.

Pick 2: Toronto North
Larry Moore: Eugene Sanders - CB
Raised to know the value of teamwork. Is fast enough to be asked to cover most receivers and deliver good results. I like the way he tackles. Wraps up the ball carrier and drags him down. No need to take chances. They almost have to make this pick. You do not want to look back in five years and see this kid on another team knowing he could have been yours.

Jim Nox: Forrest Jorgenson - T
The guy has gets along with everyone. This is a young man who, in terms of strength, can go toe to toe with the biggest defensive linemen. Pretty smart. Are there other guys worth picking here? Sure, but none of them fit this well with what they need, and he is a solid talent.

Pick 3: New Orleans Reapers
Larry Moore: Monty Allison - QB
He studies hard. He has good throwing mechanics. Has good zip on his throws. Might not be what fans want, but there is a reason people are getting paid to make these decisions. This is a rock solid pick, and he fits what they are looking for. Fans will come around quickly once they see him play.

Jim Nox: James Fairchild - FS
Respected for his good behavior on the field. Nice speed. Will allow him to do a lot of things. Well schooled in tackling. Good fundamentals. Some might say this is a 'need' pick, but we must remember, this is a really good player as well. He will contribute early and often. No losers here.

Pick 4: BCFC Bears
Larry Moore: Michael Bordelon - DT
Not afraid to lead. This kid is not afraid to work hard. Respected for his good behavior on the field. Coaches like his technique when tackling. Once this kid gets in the building, they will be set at this position for years.

Jim Nox: Orville Seward - C
Execution in the running game is something coaches have noticed about him. He blocks pretty well. Fast learner. This guy is available. This guy fills a need. They have to take him. It makes so much sense.

Pick 5: Edmonton Herd
Larry Moore: Melvin Peace - C
He shows good instincts of where to turn defenders when pass blocking. If you watch the tape again, you can see he plays with nice instincts. Fans might not be on board with what can be framed as a need pick. But trust me once they see this kid play, they will be more than happy.

Jim Nox: Michael Bordelon - DT
Every team would benefit from his leadership. Here you have a kid who puts in the work to succeed. Sportsmanship, love of the sport and respect, is what you get with him. On tape you clearly see that he is a good tackler. They should not be afraid to fill a need here. He will start day one. Quality pick right here.

Pick 6: Memphis Pharaohs
Larry Moore: George Razo - CB
Coaches are always looking to add more speed to the defensive backfield. This guy has enough to make an impact. Smart player. Good understanding of how plays develop, and where to be. Blue-chip player. Exactly what they look for. Add a young talent to a roster thin at the position, a great fit.

Jim Nox: George Razo - CB
Fast enough or man coverage. And enough speed to close fast when blitzing. Smart player. Good understanding of how plays develop, and where to be. He fills a hole at the position. Blue-chip player. Will fit right in and start right away. Love it.

Pick 7: Windsor Gamblers
Larry Moore: Steve Sells - T
He will occasionally throw of defenders to the ground when blocking them. Nothing to think about here. Pick up the kid, bring him into the building, put him om the field.

Jim Nox: Steve Sells - T
Do not underestimate the strength this kid brings to the table. He can do what they want. He will deliver results early. He fits a need. End of story.

Pick 8: Seattle Totems
Larry Moore: Robert Gentry - DE
His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Quickly discerns the field, and where to go to to make a play. Fits the bill, great quality pick, and fills a soft spot on the roster. They should have no qualms here, run to the podium and get your man.

Jim Nox: Robert Gentry - DE
His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. His college teammates all point to how smart he is. They need playmakers at this position. This is what they are getting here. Solid pick.

Pick 9: BCFC Bears
Larry Moore: James Goodman - WR
This is the kind of kid you want to promote the game. Well behaved, loves the game, and respectful. Known for being a bit of a joker in the locker room. but in the good way, everyone smiles when asked about him. Will hold onto the ball if he gets his hands on it. Cuts with quickness, and will become a great route runner. Some might say this is a 'need' pick, but we must remember, this is a really good player as well. He will contribute early and often. No losers here.

Jim Nox: Ben Garcia - WR
Known for showing up early and staying late. He is driven by the love of the sport. Makes nice jumpcuts after the catch. Elusive enough to be dangerous on short and intermediate routes. Well schooled in the game, and it shows on the field. He fills a hole at the position. Blue-chip player. Will fit right in and start right away. Love it.

Pick 10: Toronto North
Larry Moore: Todd Lyons - T
This guy understands what it means to be a pro. The guy has gets along with everyone. Sufficiently strong for the pro game. You need him, just get him already.

Jim Nox: Eugene Sanders - CB
In addition to his own role, this kid doubles as glue. He makes everyone on the field play as a team. Not a speedster per se, but enough to play man. He is faster than he is given credit for. Consistent tackler. They would be crazy not to take him here. A great fit, both in terms of what they need and the quality of player they get. This will put a smile on many faces.
