Moore and Nox Mock Draft

Pick 1: Memphis Pharaohs
Larry Moore: Ken Westmoreland - C
Need a leader? He is your guy. Knows what it takes to achieve success at any level. His good natured behavior, even toward opponents have earned him some criticism, but also an awful lot of respect. Protects the QB well on pass plays. You can never have enough good pass blockers. They need players at the position, and good ones at that. He fits the bill, he is worth the pick. End of story.

Jim Nox: Christopher Sparks - T
Scouts love his understanding for opening running lanes in the running game. Nothing to think about here. Pick up the kid, bring him into the building, put him om the field.

Pick 2: BCFC Bears
Larry Moore: Christopher Sparks - T
Run blocking is very different when facing college kids than the full-grown men in the pros. This kid has the skills to do the latter. Blue-chip player, the safe choice. No need to get cute here.

Jim Nox: John Dasilva - CB
This is the kind of kid you want to promote the game. Well behaved, loves the game, and respectful. The guy has gets along with everyone. Don't choke here, just get the guy.

Pick 3: New Orleans Reapers
Larry Moore: Christopher Paradis - G
His college coaches talk highly of his work ethic. Here you have a guy, who really benefits the atmosphere in the building. Everyone wants to be around him. If you go to his tape, you will se he run blocks very well. Knowledgeable of the game. He fills a need for them. Great pick here.

Jim Nox: Christopher Paradis - G
Here is a kid who no one doubts will put in the work. Known for helping out teammates, if they hit a rough patch, whether it is on the field or in their personal lives. Has nice technique when blocking on run plays. Keeps his leverage and finishes his blocks. Coaches love how coachable he is. Fits nicely with their needs. Fits nicely with the draft spot. Getting it right is important with these early picks. This guy is right.

Pick 4: Windsor Gamblers
Larry Moore: John Dasilva - CB
He is driven by the love of the sport. Known for being a bit of a joker in the locker room. but in the good way, everyone smiles when asked about him. They almost have to make this pick. You do not want to look back in five years and see this kid on another team knowing he could have been yours.

Jim Nox: Joseph Shay - WR
When you watch him you rarely see him drop the ball. He has more than enough speed to challenge defenders. His college teammates all point to how smart he is. Plug a hole in the roster with a great player. That is really what they need to do. This pick does it.

Pick 5: Toronto North
Larry Moore: Joseph Shay - WR
Has really strong hands, and will pluck balls out of the air. He has more than enough speed to challenge defenders. Scouts highlight the intelligent decisions he makes on the field. Fill a need, get a quality player, everyone wins! He will fit right in with the pros.

Jim Nox: James Smith - CB
Fast enough or man coverage. And enough speed to close fast when blitzing. Fans might not be on board with what can be framed as a need pick. But trust me once they see this kid play, they will be more than happy.

Pick 6: Houston RoughRiders
Larry Moore: Mike Aranda - RB
Here is a guy who always gets extra yards after first contact. Solid talent that fits their needs. Really that is all there is to it. Perfect situation. Take the money and run.

Jim Nox: Ken Westmoreland - C
Every team would benefit from his leadership. This kid is not afraid to work hard. Respected for his good behavior on the field. He has shown in college he can hold his own in pass blocking. He keeps good leverage and will only get better once the coaches get their hands on him. When the available talent fits what you need, there is reason to celebrate. They are getting a great talent who will serve them for many years.

Pick 7: Seattle Totems
Larry Moore: Eric Macias - SS
No need to overthink this, get the best guy available.

Jim Nox: Derek Soliz - DE
No guys available at a position of need worth taking here, no need to reach, just pick the best available.

Pick 8: Edmonton Herd
Larry Moore: Derek Soliz - DE
They should not be afraid to fill a need here. He will start day one. Quality pick right here.

Jim Nox: Mike Aranda - RB
In college, you would see him with two defenders on his back, and he would just keep going dragging them along. They will be happy to get him, they could use an upgrade at the position, and he certainly fits the bill. A franchise caliber player. Just what they have been looking for.

Pick 9: Memphis Pharaohs
Larry Moore: Charles Laroche - T
He takes care of his teammates. Most everyone who ever played with him, counts him as their friend. This kid loves the weight room, and has developed nice strength for being this early in his career. Consistently makes good decisions on the field. This guy is available. This guy fills a need. They have to take him. It makes so much sense.

Jim Nox: Eric Macias - SS
He will get a great chance to earn the starting job. He fits what they are looking for. He is a solid player. Cannot go wrong here.

Pick 10: BCFC Bears
Larry Moore: William Inman - QB
He is smart enough to get the ins and outs of the pro game. He is accurate enough to place the ball where the receiver can make the play. Don't choke here, just get the guy.

Jim Nox: Jeremy Davis - WR
Known for being a bit of a joker in the locker room. but in the good way, everyone smiles when asked about him. Has pro ready catching ability, and that is what you are lookng for if you are going to take a receiver this high. Reacts with good instincts. A pick for the future.
